Md. Woman Charged With Calling In Bomb Threat

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) — A Westminster woman has been charged with calling in a bomb threat to the Carroll County Emergency Operations Center.

Maryland State Police say Serena Sue Jones, 30, called the emergency center Monday morning with a false report of a bomb in the Westminster courthouse. The call led authorities to evacuate and search the district and circuit court buildings and shut down area roads.

Jones was arrested at a relative’s house Monday night and was to appear before a district court commissioner on a charge of making a false statement about a destructive device.

It was not immediately clear if Jones had a lawyer.

Maybe she should pay the salaries of all county employees who worked that day and were affected by this and then she will learn not to do somethhing like that again!

      That’s a great idea.
Wonder who she knew that was on trial that day?

yep, this cost the taxpayers a bundle I’m sure, so she should have to pay for all of it, emergency services and lost work time etc…pigeon wonder if you are right that she had someone on trial.
