Sykesville Couple Charged In String Of Burglaries

SYKESVILLE, Md. (AP) — Howard County police have charged a Sykesville husband and wife in a string of burglaries in the western part of the county.

Police say Edward Johnson, 28,  and Robin Johnson, 27, have been charged in connection with four burglaries in West Friendship, Marriottsville and Cooksville between Feb. 24 and March 10.

Authorities say they found stolen property that led them to link the Johnsons to the burglaries. Police say they are trying to determine whether the couple is responsible for a number of other burglaries in the county in recent months.

This truly is a sign that crime happens anywhere, anytime, regardless of race, sex or location. I live in Eldersburg and I can tell you, regardless of what is posted on the news, there is crime there and it is getting worse. Usually by spring/summer, rashes of robberies and thefts are on the rise and I always think it is the younger generation. There is not a whole lot for kids/young adults to do in Carroll County and it seems that mischeif is it! Glad they were caught! WTG MD State Police and Carroll County Sheriff Department.
