Man Sentenced To 30 Years In Baseball Bat Attack

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — A Westover man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for stabbing and beating his wife with a baseball bat. 

Robert Cooper, 48, was sentenced on Monday in Somerset County Circuit Court. He was convicted in December of attempted murder. 

Maryland State Police said in June that Cooper threatened to killed his wife and forced her to write him a check for $25,000.

    Why waste our tax dollars ?
    Load Mr.Cooper onto the conveyor belt,leading into
    the Soylent Green wafer processing Plant,
    and be done with the loser.

    You mean a crime of violence was committed without a gun? I thought if we banned all guns the violent crime would go away. We need to ban baseball bats!!! They don’t serve any legitimate sporting purpose- they’re only used for violence.
