New Information Released In February Catonsville Gas Station Shooting

CATONSVILLE, Md. (WJZ)—Violent and frightening. Two men walk up to a gas station employee and shoot him in the head. Now police release new information on that investigation.

Andrea Fujii has more on the video detectives want you to see.

It's not easy to watch. A Carroll Fuel station employee doing his job is shot in the head and dragged inside the tiny shop. The two attackers get away with some money from the register, and they're still out there evading police.

"It's so terrible out here.  It's normal," said Ronald.

Some customers remember the crime that happened there in February.  Police are hoping that the surveillance video will jog some memories and bring forward some witnesses.

"We are asking for the public's help in identifying the two suspects who are responsible for this crime," said Det. Cathy Batton, Baltimore County Police.

Police believe the two men are between 17 and 25 years old.

What you can't see in the clip is when one man shoots the clerk in the head. It's jarring for customers at the Catonsville gas station to hear.

"The customers are laughing and joking with each other," Gerome said. "The guy will come out and talk to you and everything, so it seems peaceful enough to me."

"It makes you be aware of stuff more," Wesley Ross said. "It's really sad it can't be like the old days and people look out for one another."

The clerk survived the gunshot wound to the head.  Now the two suspects face attempted murder and robbery charges.

If you have any information, you can contact Baltimore County Police.
