Rain Washes Out Yankees-Orioles At Camden Yards

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Friday night's game between the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles has been postponed by rain.

No makeup date was immediately announced. Yankees manager Joe Girardi said the game would not be played this weekend.

CC Sabathia was scheduled to start for the Yankees and Brad Bergesen was slated to pitch for the Orioles. Sabathia has been moved back to Saturday in the rotation.

It's the second time this season a game between New York and Baltimore was called by rain. The first postponement occurred April 12 in New York.

This is the third time the Yankees have been involved in a rainout this season. Their game at home against Minnesota on April 6 was also postponed.

New York (10-6) came to town in first place as the only team in the AL East with a winning record. Baltimore started the night in third place with an 8-10 record.
