Md. College Student Charged In Gunfire Incident
FROSTBURG, Md. (AP) -- Police in Frostburg say a Frostburg State University student fired several shots from a pistol during a disturbance at an off-campus housing complex. No one was hurt.
Adam White, 26, of Charleston, S.C., was jailed Friday afternoon on $35,000 bond. He is charged with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and endangerment by intoxication.
White allegedly told police he fired the shots into the ground.
Police say the automatic pistol was registered to White.
Investigators say there was a disturbance in the housing complex on Welsh Hill Road shortly before 3 a.m. They say White apparently wasn't involved in the disturbance but he went to his apartment, got the gun and fired at least four or five shots.
