BLOG: Another Fabulous Day

Another beauty of a day!

The weather pattern is very stopped up, and we are benefitting. That is, if you like the dry, mild air that's on top of us. There is one storm just off the New England coast and another over the middle of the country. They are both stuck there and will be for a few days. Other than occasional clouds and spotty showers over western Maryland from the western storm, we are setting up for a nice stretch of spring weather. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s.

Later this week, the weather pattern will start moving again. Slowly, that storm over the middle of the country will head toward the East Coast. There could be a shower or thunderstorm on Friday, but those chances go way up this weekend. Temperatures will still run close to the average of 72 degrees during this time.

ATTENTION TEACHERS AND STUDENTS:

There is still time! Our fourth annual Weather Field Trip Day at Camden Yards is right around the corner. This year, it will be Thursday, May 26. If you are unfamiliar with the program, it's a day full of fun. We start out with an action, graphics-filled weather program on the field that features helpers like Nicole Sherry (head groundskeeper), Chris Strong from the National Weather Service and, of course, the Bird. Then, everyone takes a lunch break before enjoying an afternoon Orioles game.
