BLOG: Sunshine Is Mixed

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- We are still dealing with the same storm that we have been since Friday - and get used to it, because we will be talking about this storm through the rest of the week.

Sunshine is mixed with clouds Monday, but we will see another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms as we move through the day. Most of the thunderstorms will wind down overnight, but there could be a few showers lingering. Tuesday, there will be more clouds around with another round of scattered rain and thunderstorms. Some sunshine will gradually start to mix back in Wednesday and Thursday, but there will still be rounds of showers and thunderstorms with the same storm hovering over the Mid-Atlantic.

The storm will finally start to weaken and lift off to the northeast Friday and Saturday. There is still the chance for a late-day shower or thunderstorm on Friday and Saturday, but much less of a chance by Saturday. Meanwhile, temperatures will climb to near 80 for the weekend.

ATTENTION TEACHERS AND STUDENTS:

There is still time! Our fourth annual Weather Field Trip Day at Camden Yards is right around the corner. This year, it will be Thursday, May 26. If you are unfamiliar with the program, it's a day full of fun. We start out with an action, graphics-filled weather program on the field that features helpers like Nicole Sherry (head groundskeeper), Chris Strong from the National Weather Service and, of course, the Bird. Then, everyone takes a lunch break before enjoying an afternoon Orioles game.
