BLOG: Midday Update

The only changes made to the forecast from this morning were to bump the high for this afternoon up a couple of degrees due to the fast rising temperatures this morning and to remove the strong thunderstorm from tomorrow afternoon and evening. I think the chances are very low, maybe worth a mention but not in the forecast. The atmosphere will be capped at the surface, and I just don't think that what's left of the boundary will be enough to spark any development.

Hot and humid weather will prevail right through the holiday weekend with a chance for thunderstorms from Friday through Sunday. I do have a concern that we could be a little too hot on Friday depending on the timing of the next storm system and how soon any rainfall and clouds move through the area, but I left the temperature go for now. Even with the chance in the forecast each day, I think Friday is the best chance for these storms and then there will be less coverage on Saturday and Sunday, but with it being a holiday weekend it's good to be covered for anything that does move through the area.

Have a great day.
