Man, 29, Struck By Lightning In Pasadena

PASADENA, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County fire officials say a 29-year-old man has been struck by lightning at a park in Pasadena.

Officials say they found the man lying unconscious on a fishing pier at Fort Smallwood Park on Sunday afternoon. Witnesses say they called officials after they heard a clap of thunder and noticed the man had collapsed on the pier.

The man was given CPR and taken to a hospital in Baltimore.

Fire officials did not have information on the man’s condition.

    Eyewiitnesses say that the man was reading CBS Baltimore on his cellphone, and making racial slurs just moments before the sky opened up and he was struck down by a bolt of lightening.
