BLOG: The Day The Music Died For Me

Twenty five years ago yesterday is the day I can point to where I lost my innocence.  That’s the day I woke up to find out Len Bias was dead.  I loved Len Bias, I thought he was the best college basketball player in the country.  Ill put it this way, I was going to become a Boston Celtics fan because they drafted him.  I hated  the Celtics.  Always respected Larry Bird and company, but they always beat my beloved Philadelphia 76ers (always was a DR J guy).  Everything changed though on that day.  As a kid you think your heroes are indestructible, Len Bias’ death showed me just the opposite
