W.Va. Man Indicted On Murder Charge In Shooting
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A grand jury has indicted a West Virginia man on murder and other charges in the shooting death of a woman in her home.
Forty-three-year-old Randy McPeak of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., was indicted Tuesday on first- and second-degree murder and a dozen other charges in the death of 37-year-old Heather Harris on June 15.
McPeak is being held without bail. A court appearance is set for July 14.
Harris died after being shot twice in the head on June 10. Days before, she had obtained a peace order against McPeak, alleging he followed her to and from work, entered her home without her permission and confronted her boyfriend.
