We had an interesting debate on the show whether people would be less interested in the women’s soccer game Sunday or a Nascar race, say the Daytona 500. In our small sample, it seemed like people would rather watch the soccer. That’s the way I’m leaning. By the way, I do believe auto racing a sport and the drivers are athletes. But I still find it boring. Soccer isn’t much better. But there is more drama, and it’s generally shorter. Plus, the fact that it’s about the US is another deciding factor. That said, if Tiger was playing in the British Open or Tom Watson has the lead, I’ll be watching that.
