BLOG: NFL Lockout Almost Over
To be honest I didn't want to blog about this. I am so superstitious when it comes to things like this. I feel like the deal is close to being done, but it wouldn't shock me to see this thing blow up in our face.
Reports are saying they have the rookie wage scale locked up. Believe it or not that was one of the bigger hangups.The NFL Network has reported the salary cap will be set at 123 million dollars, and I love that the have a cap and now have installed a floor. You have to spend at least 90 million as an organization (sorry Bengals).
I'm so excited for free agency, I've already made the analogy comparing it to turning the lights on and watching the roaches scatter. Once everything gets settled officially, the first order of business is for the Ravens to sign Marshall Yanda. Here's to hoping we are celebrating free agency come Monday.
