SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man after they say he assaulted a woman and led them on a chase through a hospital.

Christopher Cadejuste, 18, of Salisbury is charged with assault, resisting arrest and other offenses. He is being held without bond.

Deputies say on Sunday morning, a woman was at Cadejuste’s home when she tried to leave and he punched her, then threw her over a railing, when she broke her leg.

The woman was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Police say a deputy in the hospital saw Cadejuste near the woman and tried to arrest him.

Deputies say fled through the hospital’s emergency department, being chased by deputies and hospital police. Cadejuste was taken into custody after a brief struggle.

Darn shame his arms and legs didn’t get broken during the brief struggle.
