Missing Boater’s Body Found In Md. Creek
RIVIERA BEACH, Md. (AP) — Authorities have found the body of a boater who went missing off Riviera Beach in Anne Arundel County.
Maryland Natural Resources Police spokesman Sgt. Brian Albert says Charles Ryder, 48, of Glen Burnie was out on an 18-foot Sea Ray pleasure craft with others on Saturday afternoon and jumped into Stony Creek while the boat was moving. Ryder didn’t resurface.
Crews with the Maryland Natural Resource Police, U.S. Coast Guard, Maryland State Police and Anne Arundel County and Baltimore fire departments searched for Ryder until nightfall. The search resumed Sunday morning with sonar and divers. Ryder’s body was found Sunday afternoon.
