Md. Water Main Break Cuts Service To 100 Customers
TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say an elementary school in Fort Washington is without water on the first day of school following a water main break.
Kimberly Knox, a spokeswoman for the Washington Suburban Sanitation Commission, says the 10-inch break was reported about 5 a.m. Monday in the 2600-block of Brinkley Road in Temple Hills. It is affecting water service to about 100 customers, including J. Frank Dent Elementary School.
Knox says a motorcyclist crashed through a barricade at the scene. Police say the motorcyclist suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
