Person Of Interest Questioned In Slaying Of Rep. Cummings' Nephew
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Maryland congressman says police are questioning a person of interest in the slaying of his nephew in Norfolk, Va.
U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings said Thursday in an e-mail that a person is being questioned in the June 10 shooting death of 20-year-old Christopher Cummings.
WVEC.com reports that police are questioning someone and said officers emphasized that no arrests have been made. Norfolk Police Department spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson did not immediately return a message left on her cell phone Thursday seeking comment.
Christopher Cummings, a student at Old Dominion University, was slain at his home. His roommate was also shot and injured.
