Annapolis Police Arrest Rape Suspect
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- Annapolis Police make an arrest in a sex assault.
Annapolis Police officers arrested William Ashley Pickett, 33, for rape and sexual assault of a 15-year-old victim that occurred on Sept. 12.
The victim reported the assault on Sept. 13. She indicated that she left her home and was walking past the home of the suspect. Police say the suspect invited her into his home and forcibly sexually assaulted and raped her. The victim also reported that she knew the suspect.
Pickett was arrested in District Heights early Friday morning. Annapolis Police, Prince George's County Police, and District Heights Police participated in the arrest.
