Weekend Work On Yellow, Green And Orange Lines

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro is closing three stations on the yellow and green line for maintenance work over the Columbus Day weekend.

Metro says the Shaw, U Street and Columbia Heights stations will re-open Tuesday. Customers that want to travel through the affected stations will have to board free shuttle buses. Metro says customers traveling through the area should add 20 minutes to their travel times.

In addition, Metro is planning work on the orange line. Customers traveling between East Falls Church and West Falls Church will have to take a bus and should add 30 minutes to their travel times.
