Baltimore Co. Begins Search For Schools Superintendent

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The Baltimore County school board has begun the process of choosing its next schools superintendent.

The Baltimore Sun reports the board created a three-person committee on Tuesday night to set guidelines for public input and choosing a search firm.

The board decided last month not to extend the contract of Superintendent Joe Hairston, who has been in the job for 12 years.
