Artomatic Bringing Art Events To Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- An event featuring every imaginable type of art is in the middle of a five-week run in downtown Frederick.

Artomatic features visual arts, music, theater and poetry each Wednesday through Sunday. It began Sept. 28 and concludes Nov. 6.

Sketch artists can polish their skills Thursday night at a live figure-drawing session in the basement of the Artomatic headquarters building at 115 E. Church St.

Two improvisational comedy troupes are also performing Thursday.

There's live music Friday and Saturday, and an artist's market Sunday afternoon.
