FORESTVILLE, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County police say a shooting in the parking lot of a shopping center in Forestville has left one person dead and another injured.

Police spokesman Cpl. Evan Baxter says officers were called to the Penn Forest Shopping Center for the sound of gunshots about 8 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities at the scene found one man dead. He was identified as Anthony Washington, 27, of Landover.

Police say a woman was also found with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
