Once again Baltimore, your QB  is a hot button issue.

The ESPN NFL Hot Button topic of the week  (link) for this week is whether or not Joe Flacco is an elite QB.  My question for this week’s game between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers is: How good does Flacco have to be to beat the Steelers Sunday night?

For me, I just hope he can limit his turnovers.  It doesn’t seem likely, but I hope this is the week that Flacco ends his 6 week fumble streak.  In my mind Joe doesn’t have to be better than Ben Roethlisberger to win the game, he just has to be good enough.

He’s a good quarterback…elite he is not. He’s got a bit longer to go before he can be lumped in with the elite quarterbacks.

  2. jack says:

no hes actually not as good as people portray him to be

  3. Eric Powell says:

Is Flacco elite? Who cares? I keep hearing this over and over again and it’s ridiculous. Is Philip Rivers elite? Some would say he is, but how may Super Bowls has he played in? AFC Championships? Ok, how many playoff games has he won? The question should be, “is Joe Flacco good enough to lead our team when we need him?’ It’s not about what we think or how we label him. CAN HE WIN? We’ve seen that he can.

Im a Flacco fan,BUT,he is NOT an elite qb…yet. His own Offensive Coordinator doesnt trust him enuf to allow him to call plays yet. Four years in the NFL and still not sure about this guy. Wont give up on him,he can win games and he can win championships…with many variables..
