Man Shot By Police May Be Suspect In Mall Killings

FORESTVILLE, Md. (AP) — A man has been fatally shot in an exchange of gunfire with a Prince George’s County police officer, and police are trying to confirm if the man’s the suspect from an earlier double shooting.

Cpl. Henry Tippett, a police spokesman, says the man was shot just after 10 a.m. Saturday after he emerged from a Forestville home with two firearms and confronted an officer. Tippett says the man was killed at the scene by the officer, who was also shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Tippett says police are trying to confirm the man’s identity and determine if he’s the suspect in a double-shooting earlier in the morning at the Arundel Mills Mall.

Tippett says Saturday’s shooting occurred as Prince George’s County police helped Anne Arundel County police investigate the killings.

    I meant Thuggery.

  • Deputy

Thank heaven the officer will be o.k. As far as the victim……..good no waste of money on a trial. Even if convicted a liberal jury would have returned with a very short sentence.

    Case closed

  • Why PG?

What is it with PG County??? Why does the road of violent crimes around DC and south of Baltimore seem to always lead to this county? Could it be because the county is majority black? Is that it?
