Driver Dies After Car Hits Pole

GAMBER, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a Westminster man was killed when his car crashed into a telephone pole near Gamber.

Troopers tell The Carroll County Times that it happened early Thursday on Md. 32 and Niner Road. Officers say a car driven by Joshua Thomas Halley, 22, lost control and hit the pole.

He was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he died.

The accident is under investigation.
