BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) — Officials say Amtrak workers ruptured a gas line in the 1500-block of North Charles Street near Penn Station Thursday morning.

There have been no reports of injuries.

Amtrak is seeing brief delays through Baltimore after workers ruptured the gas line.

Amtrak spokeswoman Danelle Hunter says trains are using one track through the station and that is delaying trains by three to 10 minutes through Baltimore.

MARC commuter trains are also being delayed.

Baltimore Gas and Electric is telling area residents to leave their homes and call BGE if they smell gas.

I hope Amtrak is being charged for the repair and cleanup costs, as well as fined. This happens way too often.
