Ravens Paint The Town Purple

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Take a look outside and it is clear that fans are fired up about the Ravens march toward the Super Bowl. And starting Tuesday, you can start to see that purple pride around the city.

Ron Matz has more.

From Federal Hill to Finksburg....from City Hall to Catonsville....from Halethorpe to Hunt Valley....playoff fever in Baltimore is now in full swing.

The Ravens are painting the town purple. It's playoff time. The team's logo was printed on Federal Hill Tuesday morning.

"For the last three years when we've made the playoffs, we've come out and stenciled Federal Hill and City Hall. This year we're doing it again. But this year we're even more excited because we get to play at home on our turf," said Heather Harness, Baltimore Ravens.

Poe is poised for the playoffs. Rise and Conquer are ready to fly.

"[Rise] will be here for the whole event. He'll be following the Ravens around for the next two weeks like everybody else will, watching and waiting to see who we get to play in two weeks. And then he'll be at the game," said Amy Eveleth, Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.

Cristi & Reginald Exum are Ravens fans, expecting a Super Bowl and more.

"We are so ready. This is our second anniversary today. She's 9 months pregnant. She could pop at any moment. And I could think of no better place to be than right here today," said Reginald Exum.

With the Ravens cheerleaders helping the city celebrate, what everyone hopes will be the first step towards a trip to Indianapolis.

"They're gonna go all the way. I believe it. Run Rice. Give us Rice. We'll go all the way," said Tiffany Harris, Parkville.

So the Ravens will play either Houston, Denver of Pittsburgh on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. You can see that game on WJZ-13 in two weeks.
