BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The anticipation is building as the Ravens prepare for a playoff game at M&T Bank Stadium. They will host the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the playoffs. The Ravens emerge from a weekend of rest and get back to work now knowing who their opponent is. It’s a rematch of a game played here in Baltimore three months ago. The Houston Texans are coming to town.
Jessica Kartalija shows us how Baltimore fans are preparing for the playoffs.
Baltimore is seeing purple from City Hall to Towson. All the signs point to Sunday’s big game.
“I think Joe Flacco needs to step up to the plate and really be the man everyone knows he can be and he is. I believe Ray Rice is definitely showing off out there and I think that’s a good thing,” said one fan.
“Ray Rice definitely needs to touch the ball at least 25 times. He’s our offense,” said a fan.
“We’re going to have to keep the running game strong, as we already have. Pretty much Flacco can feed from that and do a little passing, as well,” said a fan.
“When they are coming up 83 and they look to the right and they see, `Go, Ravens!’ I think it will incense a whole purple pride in those drivers,” said Joe Suehle, Image Engineering.
Suehle is president and CEO of Image Engineering, the same company that did the incredible light show on the side of the Power Plant Building. Now they’re turning bricks into something spectacular.
“We shine a 6,000 watt light through it and we are able to make a big projection on the side of that building,” he said.
Meanwhile, excitement is also building.
“They need to be aware of Houston’s running game. We need to be aware of their offensive line,” a fan said.
“We need to get to Flacco. He just has to show aggressiveness. We have the Rice and Boldin combination; we should be fine,” a fan said.
