Coppin State Beats South Carolina State 82-61

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Michael Harper scored 25 points and Logan Wiens added 23, including going 5 of 6 on 3-pointers, for Coppin State in an easy 82-61 win over South Carolina State on Monday night.

Akeem Ellis also chipped in 13 points for the Eagles (7-9, 2-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who have won three of their last four games.

Coppin State opened the game on a 19-9 run, led by 12 points at the break and were never really threatened in the win. The Eagles outscored the Bulldogs 36-27 in the second half to seal it.

The Eagles outshot the Bulldogs from the floor 55.7 percent (34 of 61) to 36.1 percent (26 of 72), including knocking down 13 of 25 from long range. S.C. State hit just 5 of 31 attempts from 3-point range.

Luke Radovic led the Bulldogs (4-12, 0-3) with 17 points and 12 boards.
