Warrant Obtained In Robbery Of Elderly Woman

LANGLEY PARK, Md. (AP) — Police in Prince George’s County have identified a suspect in the robbery of an elderly woman in Langley Park last week.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Linda McCorkle, 48, on charges of armed robbery and second-degree assault. She was identified through a tip and through surveillance video from Bank of America.

No phone listing could immediately be found for McCorkle. It wasn’t clear if she has a lawyer.

Police say McCorkle was with three small children last week when she approached an 84-year-old woman and told her she needed help cashing a check to care for the kids. Police say the woman agreed to drive McCorkle to the bank and withdrew money.

McCorkle allegedly stole the money and forced the woman to drive her away from the bank.

    The usual people of color.

What’s that suppose to mean? Only black people commit armed robbery? What a joke.
