Is there such thing as a great loss in a game like the AFC Championship game? Depends on how you look at it.
The Baltimore coaching staff did a phenomenal job getting the team & plan together. Working things just the way they would have scripted. Flacco = Fantastic 22/36 306yards 2 TD’s 1 INT. Won time of possession, turnovers (3-1) and total yards. The Ravens did everything well, for the most past, except for a few key moments.
So do you get excited or at least allow it to ease the pain knowing that Baltimore did what they wanted and could have, should have won? If you do it’s a great loss. If you don’t then what is it? A great loss for an entirely different set of reasons.
Lots of thoughts going through the brain right now but this I know… Getting to the final four in the NFL is something to be proud of and not making it to the super bowl is a reason to be sad. At the end of the day the 2011 Baltimore Ravens accomplished nearly all of their goals, that’s more than most can say.
