Man Found Dead In Well Was Homicide Victim

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (AP) -- Police say a man whose body was pulled from a well in Fort Washington was a homicide victim.

Prince George's County police identified the victim Sunday as Lenwood "Lenny" Harris, 53, of Alexandria, Va.

His body was found on Thursday after an anonymous caller tipped off police to its location. It was found at the bottom of a 20-foot well behind an unoccupied home. Authorities recovered it on Saturday, and an autopsy was performed.

Prince George's and Alexandria police are planning a joint news conference Monday to discuss the case.
