Mount St. Mary's Loses To Central Conn State 78-63
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) -- Ken Horton scored 39 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, leading Central Connecticut State over Mount St. Mary's 78-63 Thursday night.
Robby Ptacek added 17 points for the Blue Devils (12-15, 9-8 Northeast Conference), while Kyle Vinales had 13 and 11 assists.
CCSU completed the regular-season sweep over the Mountaineers (7-21, 5-12), who they also beat on Jan. 12.
The Blue Devils have now won two of their last three games in the wake of a four-game skid.
Julian Norfleet, who led the Mountaineers with 20 points, hit a 3-pointer less than a minute into the contest to put them up for the first and only time in this one. Horton then knocked down a 3 of his own, two foul shots and a layup to fuel a 17-6 run that put CCSU up for good.
CCSU led by eight at halftime and outscored the Mountaineers 37-30 in the second half.
