Man Dies In 3-Car Crash On Belair Road

BALTIMORE (WJZ)– A man is dead and at least two people are injured after a three-car crash in East Baltimore.

Captain Mike Perry reports the horrific accident unfolded around 3:30 p.m. Monday at Belair Road and Ravenwood.

It appears that a SUV collided head-on with a vehicle traveling northbound on Belair Road. The impact caused that vehicle to overturn–but not before sliding into the path of a second vehicle, which was also heading northbound on Belair Road.

Two people were transported to a local area hospital. One is in serious condition and the other has non-life threatening injuries.

A male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There may be more injuries.

North and southbound lanes of Belair Road are closed above Sinclair Lane, as detectives continue to investigate the crash. Expect delays and detours.

That young man was my cousin Michael Wright. It was only 28 years old and had just bought the car with his tax refund,. The SUV that struck his car was allegedly running from the police. Thanks for your concern and we appreciate your prayers.
