New President Appointed At UMES

ADELPHI, Md. (AP) -- The University of Maryland Eastern Shore has a new president.

Patricia Florestano, who chairs the University System of Maryland Board of Regents, announced Wednesday that Juliette Bell
will take over as president of the school in Princess Anne effective July 1.

Bell is currently provost and vice president for academic affairs at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. She has
20 years of experience in higher education including teaching, research and administration.
