Quick Hits: Tebow Traded, Payton Gets Punished, O's Update

Now that Peyton Manning has found a home in Denver, the Broncos have to find a new home for Tim Tebow, and they have done it. Tebow's now with the Jets, traded for a 4th round pick.

The Saints bounty punishment has been handed down, and getting hit with the hammer would be an understatement. The team was fined $500k, GM Mickey Loomis was suspended for 8 games and fined $500k. The Saints will lose 2 second round picks -- one in 2012, one in 2013 -- head coach Sean Payton has been suspended for a year without pay starting on April 1, and Gregg Williams has been suspended indefinitely.

Alex Smith will return to San Francisco as the Niners QB. He signed a 3-year deal worth $24 million with $16.5 million guaranteed. Incentives could bring the deal to $33 million.

The Orioles will try and bounce back from Tuesday's  loss as they face the Blue Jays. Tommy Hunter gets the ball for the O's and Kyle Drabek is the starter for Toronto.

The Caps don't return to the ice until Thursday, but the Florida Panthers have now put a little distance between Washington and themselves. Florida has a 5 point lead in the race for first in the southeast. They face Carolina Wednesday, and the Buffalo Sabres are just 2 points behind the Caps for the 8th and final playoff spot. They are at home to face the Canadians.
