ELDERSBURG, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say a woman was killed in a two-car crash in Carroll County over the weekend.

Police say a Chrysler was turning left from Liberty Road onto Georgetown Road when it collided with a Nissan about noon Sunday. Authorities say Myrtle Coghill, who was in the front seat of the Chrysler, was pronounced dead at Carroll Hospital Center.

The driver, Wallace Coghill of Sykesville, was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He had been listed in critical condition late Sunday.

The driver of the Nissan, James Calvin Hale, was taken to Carroll Hospital Center with unknown injuries.
