DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) — Authorities are identifying a 21-year-old man who was shot and killed in District Heights during a violent weekend in Prince George’s County.

Police say David Anthony Shaw of Forestville was found suffering from a gunshot wound about 8:15 p.m. Sunday in the 2700-block of Judith Avenue. Authorities say Shaw was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say Shaw apparently tried to rob a group of six people he was with at the home. Authorities say after Shaw shot and wounded one person in the group, another person took his gun away and shot him.

Shaw’s death came during a violent weekend. From Friday night through Sunday, five people were killed and seven others were wounded in separate incidents.
