HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — Eleven people have applied to fill a vacancy on the Washington County Circuit Court.
Judge W. Kennedy Boone III turned 70 last month. That is the retirement age for judges in Maryland.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that Wednesday was the last day to file for the vacancy.
The nomination commission will meet next month, and will select nominees to send to Gov. Martin O’Malley.
