Frederick County Lifts Open Burning Ban
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Frederick County is lifting its open burning ban, but county officials are still urging residents to exercise caution.
The county's Division of Fire and Rescue Services announced Sunday that it has lifted the ban that went into effect April 6. However, residents and businesses are asked to be careful when burning outdoors and are advised to never leave a fire unattended.
Windy and dry conditions prompted the National Weather Service to issue a fire warning throughout the mid-Atlantic region earlier this month.
