Person Shot And Killed In Charles County
LA PLATA, Md. (AP) -- The Charles County Sheriff's Office says an unidentified person has been shot and killed on a street in La Plata.
Diane Richardson, a police spokeswoman, says sheriff's officers were patrolling an area of Charles Street when they heard gunshots about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. Officers searched the area and found the person in the road in the 200- block of Kent Avenue.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The person's gender and age were not released.
