Doctor Accused Of Performing Unneeded Stent Surgeries Cannot Seek Damages

TOWSON, Md. (WJZ)—A setback for the cardiologist accused of performing hundreds of unnecessary surgeries.

A judge has thrown out a defamation lawsuit filed against St. Joseph Medical Center by Dr. Mark Midei.

According to WJZ’s media partner, The Baltimore Sun, this means Midei cannot seek damages in the scandal over unnecessary cardiac stent surgeries.
