Bouncer At Md. Bar Charged With Assaulting Patron
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- A bouncer at a popular bar in College Park has been charged with beating up a customer.
Prince George's County police spokeswoman Julie Parker says Marcus Anthony Plummer, 28, a bouncer at R.J. Bentley's on Route 1, choked, punched and threw the patron to the ground over the weekend.
She says the fight began when the customer, a 23-year-old member of the Air Force who is from Wyoming, tried to get back into the bar after being thrown out for tossing his drink on a customer. Parker says Plummer weighs nearly 400 pounds.
Plummer has been charged with first-and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. He was released on $50,000 bond.
Online court records don't list a lawyer for Plummer, and no phone number could immediately be found.
