Food Company Recalls Lasagna Products Sold In Md.

WASHINGTON (WJZ)-- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued a recall of an Illinois-based food company's lasagna products that contain egg and soy-- allergens that were not mentioned on product labels.

Windsor Quality Food Co. shipped the products to retail stores in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and 11 other states. Following are the specifics:

- Retail cartons of Safeway Select Five Cheese Lasagna with a package code of April 4, 2013.
- Shipping cases of Safeway Select Meat Lasagna with a 'Best By' date of April 4, 2013.

The USDA said Windsor discovered the problem when it received complaints from two consumers and speculate that the meat lasagna was packaged in a cheese lasagna carton.

Neither the USDA or Windsor have received any reports of illness.

Consumers with questions about the recall or the product are being asked to call the Windsor Foods toll-free customer service number at 1-800-548-6363.
