Around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday Anne Arundel County firefighters responded to a reported fire alarm sounding at the Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Health Sciences Building, located on Medical Parkway.
Fire crews found a small fire in an elevator, which was quickly extinguished.
Investigation revealed that the fire was intentionally set.
There are no suspects, but investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest.
Investigators are asking anyone who may be able to identify the person and/or provide information about this incident to call 410-222-TIPS (8477). Any information received can be anonymous.
The investigation is ongoing.
