If the season ended today, they would make the playoffs. It has been a remarkable season so far. With the trade deadline approaching, how active will they be? I would be careful if I was Dan Duquette. They are not one player away. They need help at first and/or third, left field and the rotation. That is too many holes. And they don’t have much to trade.

I hope they stay in it, but I wouldn’t make moves that could compromise the future because their rotation isn’t good enough to do anything even if they get to the playoffs.
