Ravens Cheerleaders Calendar On Sale Now

BALTIMORE (WJZ) --  You see them at every Ravens home game and now you can see them at home.

The Ravens cheerleaders are a big part of all the excitement at M&T Bank Stadium.

Ron Matz reports their new calendar has just hit stores and has all of Baltimore talking.

With 70,000 fans screaming, being a Ravens cheerleader is something special. So is their new 18-month swimsuit calendar, shot in the Bahamas in April.

Courtney is Miss August.

"Beautiful weather, beautiful beaches. It was a great bonding experience with our teammates and a great kickoff to our season," she said.

Lindsay is this year's cover girl. Staying in shape is a commitment.

"It's a lot of hard work staying in shape, a lot of cardio, a lot of abs. I actually work out with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed's trainer, Monte Sanders.  He does a boot camp class at 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. three days a week.  It's fun, though, because he's a very motivational guy," she said.

The calendar features all 40 female cheerleaders who love what they do.

"I've been cheering all my life. I started doing gymnastics.  When my career took a different path, I started cheering.  When I finished college, I tried out for the Ravens and made it and I've been doing it ever since," said Courtney.  "I was fortunate to make it the first year I tried out.  I think I cried. I didn't expect it at all.  I tried out on a whim.  I made it and I'm so grateful."

"When you're running out on the field, it's the best feeling ever. The smoke starts coming and you hear the cleats behind you. It's so exciting you want to cry," said Lindsay.

Mary Ann, Lindsay's mom, is very proud of her daughter.

"I cry every time she runs out of the tunnel. This is the third year, so I'll still be crying," Mary Ann said.

No crying this year as the Ravens and their fans hope for a February trip to New Orleans.

"It seems like last year we just had our playoff game, it flew by.  So we're ready for the Super Bowl," said Lindsay.

"I'm excited for the season. I can't wait.  I want to go to the Super Bowl so bad.  We could have been there last year and we're going to New Orleans this year," said Mary Ann.

The Ravens cheerleaders swimsuit calendar costs $15.  It will be on sale at this Sunday's Ravens practice at the Naval Academy.  For more information on where you can buy it, click here.
