The calls and texts today were overwhelmingly negative regarding the Ravens performance last night against Atlanta.

I’m not going to get into the particulars about why but believe me when I say that the preseason is meaningless for fans. This is for players trying to make the team and for the coaches who evaluate them.

Fans are worried that Flacco won’t have a great season basing their decision on last night’s game. Let me just remind you of who else had performances that were less than spectacular…Manning, Rodgers, Roethlisberger.

Oh yeah and keep in mind that a few short years ago the Detroit Lions were perfect in the the preseason, winning all their games and carried it through to the regular season where they were also perfect …they lost EVERY game and went 0-16 .

This stuff is no indication of what’s ahead in the regular season so relax and enjoy your weekend.
