DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ)–Baltimore County Police have made an arrest in the Monday morning  stabbing death of a man in Dundalk.

The suspect is Edwin Alexander Iglesias-Reyes. He has been charged with first-degree murder and is held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

The victim has been identified as Victor DeJesus Portillo-Portillo, 26, of the 400-block of Scarsdale Road.

Homicide investigators say that Iglesias-Reyes and Portillo-Portillo were roommates who had gotten into an argument. Investigators do not know what the argument was about.

Iglesias-Reyes stabbed Portillo-Portillo multiple times and fled the home immediately afterward,  leaving a trail of blood throughout the neighborhood.

Police and fire units responded to a call for a cardiac arrest at the Scarsdale Road address Monday at 6:21 a.m. Officers found the victim dead from multiple stab wounds. They also observed a blood trail leading out of the basement into a rear alley where a knife was found. The blood trail continued out into the surrounding community.
